Friday at class time is the deadline for establishing your blog and sending me its web address.
Here's how to do it:
1. The easiest way to do this is to go to blogspot.com
2. Blogspot is owned by Google so you can establish an account using your UCA e-mail address. They’ll ask you for password (make one up,) a name for the blog (it can be as simple as Joe's Media and Society Blog. Or anything you want really,) then you’re ready to go!
3. Use email@example.com to send me the url - or web address.
Your url will look something like this nameofyourblog.blogspot.com
I’ll then post those urls on wordriff.com so we can all read and respond to each other’s blogs. I’ll ask you to respond to readings there.
Don't get buffaloed by the idea of writing a blog post. It's the easiest kind of online writing you'll do.
First, blog posts are much more informal than, say, a news story for an online site. Second, posts don't need to be all that long. A couple of hundred words is plenty.
Let me know if you have questions.
