Thanks to everyone for Zooming in today for our class meeting.
Some of you may be going a little stir crazy from your "coronavirus house arrest," but I'm glad to see y'all are adapting as well as you are.
Let me recap some of the things I mentioned today.
We have one test and one paper left to complete.
The test will consist of essay questions (no more than three) and will be open-resource. You can use the Web and your notes to complete the test. I'll likely distribute the questions on April 13. It will be due on April 22.
The last paper will be due on April 17. I'll distribute the Assignment Sheet on April 6.
In addition, we still need to do some more quizzes. Your Web sites will count for three quizzes (ten points each.)
Beyond that, I'm assigning some reading to you. I'd like you to comment on the articles in your blog. I will count those as quizzes also.
Here are the links for today:
The Coronavirus Fake-News Pandemic is Real
A Running List of Hoaxes Spreading about the Coronavirus
I'd like you to respond to these articles on the blog page of the Web sites we built earlier in the semester.
Does the article ring true? Are there parts you don't agree with? What do you agree with? Are you getting the whole story? etc.
Your response need not be any longer than a total (for both articles) of 500 words. Go longer if you like. I'll expect your posts to be tightly written, without typo-free and grammatically correct.
If you have questions, just let me know.
See you Wednesday.
